I turned to face the lion, having heard that lions were hesitant to attack prey that was facing them.

As the second lion bit into the back of my neck, I suddenly remembered that tip was for Mountain Lions.

 

사자는 마주 보고 있는 먹잇감을 공격하는 것을 주저한다는 말을 듣고 사자를 향해 고개를 돌렸다.

두 번째 사자가 제 목 뒤쪽을 물었을 때 갑자기 그 팁이 퓨마를 위한 것이었다는 사실이 떠올랐다.

 

 

My friend texted me on how she felt uncomfortable why I was in her driveway in my car staring at her.

I immediately try to reply, but the Wi-Fi in London is slow.

 

친구가 문자를 보냈다, 내가 그녀의 집 진입로에서 차안에 앉아 자신을 쳐다보는것이 불편하다고.

즉시 답장을 보내려고 했지만 런던의 Wi-Fi는 너무 느렸다.

 

 

She was always afraid of swimming in deep water.

She never realized how shallow water, inches from the surface, was far worse.

 

그녀는 항상 깊은 물에서 수영하는 것을 무서워했다.

수면에서 몇 인치 떨어진 얕은 물이 얼마나 더 위험한지 그녀는 전혀 깨닫지 못했다.

 

 

"This one, I want this one; I'll really take good care of it this time, I promise" the child pleaded.

With a sigh the parent acquiesced, and horror erupted on earth as the stars began moving and the sun grew ever more distant and dim.

 

"이거, 이거 주세요. 이번엔 정말 잘 관리할게요, 약속해요." 아이가 애원했다.

부모는 한숨을 쉬며 허락했고, 별들이 움직이기 시작하고 태양이 점점 더 멀어지고 희미해지면서 지구에는 공포가 엄습했다.

 

 

I haven't feared death since I was a small child, fascinated and tormented by the idea of going to heaven.

Once my life turned into a living hell, I decided to seek out the righteous and get them out while they were ahead.

 

나는 어렸을 때부터 천국에 간다는 생각에 매료되고  죽음을 괴로워하거나 두려워하지 않았다.

내 삶이 생지옥으로 변하자 나는 의로운 사람들을 찾아서 그들이 앞서 있을 때 그들을 끌어내기로 결심했다.
